Double Board: two boards, separate hands

Winning one board need not win the whole pot. Make a legal hand on each board and handle side pots separately.

Can I mix cards from both boards?

No. PokerBROS’ documented Double Board Omaha uses two hole cards and three cards from one board for each hand. You may use a different hole-card pair on the other board, but cannot borrow across boards.

I won the top board. Why only half?

Invented example: a 120-unit pot split equally between two boards, with no side pots, gives each board 60. Tie the top board with one player and your share there is 30. Win the bottom as well and you receive 90 total. Actual odd-chip or high-low rules need the selected game’s terms.

Side pots change who can win

For three contributions of 20, 50 and 50 units, the main pot is 60 and the two larger contributors also contest a 60-unit side pot. The 20-unit contributor cannot win that side pot, even with the best cards on both boards.

A hand to check, board by board

Your hole cards

K♠ K♥ 7♣ 2♦.

Opponent’s hole cards

A♣ A♦ Q♥ J♣.

Top board

K♦ 9♠ 9♥ 5♣ 4♦.

Bottom board

K♣ A♠ A♥ 6♦ 3♣.

Why did my full house lose on one board?

The deal above is a made-up, high-only, four-card Omaha example, not a reported hand. All 18 cards are different. Evaluate exactly two hole cards with exactly three cards from the board you are checking.

On top, use your K♠ K♥ with K♦ 9♠ 9♥. Your kings full of nines beat your opponent’s best legal hand: A♣ A♦ with K♦ 9♠ 9♥, two pair, aces and nines.

On the bottom, use your same K♠ K♥ with K♣ A♠ A♥. You have kings full of aces. This time your opponent uses A♣ A♦ with K♣ A♠ A♥ for four aces, which beat your full house. Neither player can borrow a card from the top board to improve this result.

With a 120-unit pot divided equally between these boards, two eligible players and no side pots, you receive the top board’s 60 units and your opponent receives the bottom board’s 60. In a real hand, check each board’s best legal hand, ties and eligibility for each separate pot; a full house is not an automatic scoop.

Is this running it twice?

Double Board starts with two boards as part of the game. Running it twice repeats the remaining runout after relevant betting is complete. Consent and settings are product-specific. The dated feature articles do not prove current club availability.
