ClubGG vs PPPoker: membership, clubs and hand history
ClubGG documents PokerCraft hand review and native Windows/Mac downloads. Main PPPoker publishes Windows/Mac installer links and a Windows Steam listing. Membership benefits and approval to enter a private club are separate.
Paid access is not private-club approval
ClubGG’s current site describes free account creation and free play with friends through a created or joined club. A paid membership offer has separate benefits; buying it does not replace approval to join a friend’s private club. Check the club application first. For a PPPoker global event, read that event’s entry requirement instead. Choose the access path that reaches your intended game.
The differences that affect this choice
Scroll the table horizontally to see all columns when space is limited.
| Decision factor | ClubGG | PPPoker |
|---|---|---|
| Membership or club | Ordinary account creation and club play are advertised as free. Optional membership benefits do not replace private-club approval. | Club approval and global-event entry depend on the selected product and destination. |
| Hand review | PokerCraft documents sessions and hand review. Export to an external tracker is a separate unverified requirement. | The reviewed introduction and Steam listing do not establish an equivalent PokerCraft workflow or external-tracker permission. |
| Windows | Official Windows download documented. | The publisher homepage links a Windows .msi installer; its requirements were not verified. The separate main-PPPoker Steam route needs Windows 10+ for the current Steam client. |
| Mac | Native client documented for macOS 11+/Intel Mac 2017+/4 GB RAM; separate Apple requirements apply to its store route. | The publisher homepage links a Mac .dmg installer. Its OS, hardware and installation requirements are unverified; account compatibility with USA/Go was not tested. |
- ClubGG official site: free club play. Published device, access and feature evidence: ClubGG native macOS application FAQ and requirements; ClubGG help center; ClubGG PokerCraft; PPPoker official introduction; PPPoker publisher download links; PPPoker-USA Apple listing; PPPoker Go Apple listing; PPPoker publisher-controlled Steam listing.
Which PPPoker did the invitation mean?
When an invitation only says PPPoker, ask for the exact product name before downloading. Match the invitation to main PPPoker, USA or Go, then use the corresponding account and club instructions. Keep that product identity beside the Club ID so a later device change does not restart the same ambiguity.
Want to review hands?
For a player who wants to revisit hands after a session, ClubGG’s published PokerCraft feature gives a concrete starting point. Check whether the current account can open the desired session and display the hand detail you need. If your requirement is an external tracker, ask about export format and permission separately; built-in review is not proof that the external workflow works.
Sources and disclosure
The byline’s Sources dialog contains the dated public records behind these differences. PPPoker’s publisher download links and Steam page were read October 10; its table capacity and sync statements remain publisher claims. The separate ClubGG native Mac requirements reuse the October 9 documentation check. ClubGG’s free-account and club-play statements were read October 11. Other product and joining references retain their original check dates. No comparative speed, account transfer, club availability or gameplay outcome was tested. Sponsored placement does not decide the comparison.
